What is Lab grown diamond?

Lab grown diamond is 100% real diamond which are physically, chemically and optically identical to mined/ natural diamonds. They are man made diamonds because they are grown in a lab under controlled environment as opposed to mined diamonds, which are mined directly from the Earth. How is the Lab grown diamond made?

Palmonas Lab grown diamonds are made with a technique called "Chemical vapour deposition” (CVD) or "Carbon Vapour Deposition". In this process carbon-rich gas that is in a vapour phase is transformed into a solid state material. A thin slice of diamond called as ‘the seed’ is inserted into a sealed container and subjected to high temperatures (800-1,000 degrees Celsius). Then this seed is exposed to a carbon-rich gas mixture. Due to the extreme heat, the gases turn into a plasma-like state and become ionised. This procedure breaks down the molecular bonds of the gases and leads to carbon build-up. The carbon forms an atomic bond with the seed, and as a result, the seed diamond grows layer by layer until it achieves the desired size.
